Presbytery Point Camp, Inc. is a member of the Presbyterian Church Camp & Conference Association. This year Presbytery Point celebrates 75 years in Christian camping ministry to all ages. "The Point" welcomes other church and non-profit educational groups to consider hosting retreats, events or camps at our beautiful facility.
Presbytery Point Camp Guest Information
The Mackinac Lodge, fashioned as a Finnish ski lodge and built with cedar, is a year-round facility for retreats, conferences, seminars, meetings, and other events housing 24 guests. The lodge and full length deck panoramically overlook Lake Michigamme, barrier free.
There are four dormitory style bedrooms. Each have a private bath with a large mirror, two-sink counter, & shower. Each bedroom is also furnished with bookcase headboards, a dresser, a chest of drawers, a desk with chair, reading lamps, and alarm clocks. Floors are carpeted and each bedroom has its own individual heating units.
The Anuta Room offers space for workshops and dining and in the evening is a place to relax around the fireplace with friends. The 23' X 31' carpeted community room is furnished with tables and chairs, lounge chairs, a color television with VCR and DVD players.
The full service kitchen is 18' x 16' and is available for guests to prepare meals.
Six cabins, equipped with electric heat, a deck & lake view, are available May-September when camps are not in session. Two heated bathhouses with showers, sinks, & mirrors serve the cabins. A spacious year-round Dining, Conference & Worship Hall, the Red Pine Pan Tree, showcases a pristine view of Lake Michigamme. It seats up to 96 guests.
The Red Pine Pan Tree features a modern stage which makes this ideal for the arts, wedding receptions and groups bringing their own programs to the Point.
The Point, with its exclusive location, offers 23 acres to connect the body, mind, and spirit with God and nature. An outdoor sanctuary lies at the tip of the point and is a place of inspiration and peace. An encircled campfire bonds acquaintances into friendships. The waterfront includes docks, swimming area, fishing ,canoeing & sunfish sailing. Bicycle enthusiasts will find trails and a bike lane on US 41. Winter sports include snowshoeing & crosscountry skiing with trail opportunities nearby.
Guest Use Conditions
- Rental guests must return a signed copy of their guest use agreement with proof of insurance, damage deposit, and 50% deposit on guest use fees at least 21 days prior to rental date(s) to hold their reservations.
- Alcohol, firearms, fireworks or explosives, and/or other illegal substances are not permitted on Presbytery Point Camp's grounds or in Presbytery Point Camp's facilities.
- Smoking is permitted only in the designated area.
- Final balance payment is due upon arrival or as arranged with camp manager.
- No pets are allowed on the premises.
